Little Cheriton House offers guests the chance to stay in a beautifully designed Georgian style manor house which is anything but little. Standing proud atop the rolling hills of the Somerset countryside Little Cheriton House has stunning, far reaching views across the patchwork landscape. Surrounded by nature, with it's own large garden, you can't help but relax and breathe in the fresh country air when staying at this stunning property. Designed to accommodate large groups, Little Cheriton House boasts 7 luxurious bedrooms spread over the first and second floors, whilst all being accessed by a stunning sweeping spiral staircase.
The ground floor is perfect for entertaining with the large open plan kitchen complete with island. One family size table allows for more intimate dining whilst the grand 18 seater dining table located in the dining room allows the whole party to dine together if required. Last and by no means least, the large window lined lounge with roaring open fire is perfect for relaxing in whilst enjoying some of the local somerset cider. You really won't want to leave this fantastic house.
If you fancy venturing out for a drink or to try the local fayre, the nearest pub The White Horse Inn is located 0.7 miles from the house and is walkable (15-20 min) across the fields for those capable. Also walkable (2 miles) partially on the same route is The Kings Arms which offers a more gastro pub experience or slightly further afield in the car are The Old Inn, and The Nog Inn.
Little Cheriton House is also located just a 10 min drive from The Newt - a stunning newly developed hotel with beautiful gardens which can be visited as a day guest. There is also a superb cafe within the grounds. Just further on from The Newt in the small town of Bruton you will find the internationally acclaimed modern art gallery and restaurant venue Hauser & Wirth set within a converted farmyard with visiting displays and landscape designed gardens. Please Note: There are noise restrictions in place at this property whereby no external music players must be brought to the property (portable bluetooth players are provided and these must be kept at a low level) and external noise must consider other guests which means no excesses of shouting or screaming at any time.
